New Prints

The above two prints are subtractive monotypes, meaning that I laid down a solid block of ink, and then I removed ink to create the white areas. These two are also much smaller that my other prints.

Another large print. I am not sure if it is done yet.

My Next Piece

This is the beginning of a new print. Just as the previous one, it is a monotype. Instead of using plain black, I have mixed red and black ink. Depending on how the ink is applied and printed, the color may come out looking black, burgundy, or even more of a reddish color. There is still much work to be done on this print, so it should be interesting to see how much of this original layer will even show through in the final print.

First Print of the Summer Semester

So this is the first print of my summer semester. This is a monotype (A unique print made by pressing paper against a painted or inked surface.) This basically means that this is a one-and-only print and can never be reproduced exactly like this ever again.
